What is the difference between an encasement and a protector?

An encasement zips around the entire mattress and stays on. A protector guards the top and comes off for washing. Many people use both: the encasement seals the mattress, and the protector takes the everyday spills.

Can a mattress protector stop bed bugs?

Not on its own. A protector only covers the top and sides. For bed bugs you need an encasement, which zips fully closed around the mattress.

Do I need pillow protectors too?

Your pillow is the piece of bedding closest to your face and the one most people forget. A zippered pillow protector goes under the pillowcase and keeps the pillow itself clean.

How do I wash an encasement or protector?

Machine wash and dry on low heat, and skip the fabric softener. Our encasements and protectors are tested to 200 wash cycles. See Product Care for the full instructions.
